This was recorded fall 2012/winter 2013 on a Sony TCM-200DV cassette voice recorder mostly with my acoustic guitar and Casio PT-82 keyboard. Each song (except "Red Balloon") was written and recorded in the same 1-3 hour session - like a journal entry - so the lyrics are not clever. Usually I was sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace, and you can hear it crackling at times. Casio overdubs were later added with my trusty Cool Edit Pro. The Stylophone makes its shredding comeback in "Goodbye Kitty." The drums on "Red Balloon" are my human beat-box. The singing is wonderfully pitchy because some - okay, a LOT - of drinking was involved. Yes, it's a completely self-indulgent break up record. It's not great, but it's what happened.
